Pakistan's 2024 general election was held on 8 February 2024. Independent candidates won the most National Assembly seats, 99 of the 266 covered here, followed by PML-N (78) and PPP (54). 5,112 candidates contested the National Assembly seats. In the provincial assemblies, PML-N won the most seats in Punjab (140 of 297), PPP won the most seats in Sindh (86 of 130), independents won the most seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (95 of 115) and PML-N won the most seats in Balochistan (12 of 51). The closest National Assembly result was NA-251 Sherani Zhob Killa Saifullah, decided by 93 votes; the largest margin was 183,040 votes in NA-89 Mianwali.
